Every weekend their is some sort of festival, show, farmer’s market or other variety of Punta Gorda event going on – and the holiday’s are certainly no exception. As a matter of fact, we have put together a list of 25 Punta Gorda Holiday Events – one for every day in December leading up to Christmas!
What better way to start 25 Days of Punta Gorda Holiday Events than with one million lights? How about with OVER one million lights at Fishermen’s Village?
Now through December 31st, Fishermen’s Village (right across the street from Five Star Realty) has their annual Festival of Lights celebration on display with Christmas lights and holiday themed decorations lighting up the waterfront shopping, dining, resort and marina!
In addition to the display of lights they have a December calendar of events that is jam packed with Santa photo ops, holiday musical performances, craft festivals and more. Not to mention the shops – which offer an abundance of gift ideas for everyone on your list!
Marion Avenue Tree Lighting
If you live near downtown Punta Gorda, you have surely noticed the large Christmas tree going up bit by bit on the corner or Marion and Taylor. On December 2nd that tree will come to light during the tree lighting ceremony from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. With Mr. & Mrs. Claus, Christmas carols, and more – this Punta Gorda holiday event is sure to delight every attendee.
33rd Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Punta Gorda
Of course no Christmas would be complete without a parade! The Charlotte County Chamber’s 33rd Annual Christmas Parade on December 3 at noon is the ideal way to spend your 3rd day of Punta Gorda Holiday
Be sure to snag your spot early somewhere from Charlotte High School down Taylor through downtown Punta Gorda. This year’s theme, ” It’s a Red, White & Blue Christmas,” should have some amazing floats as always.
We’ve got a Festival of Lights, a tree lighting, a parade and now a holiday concert. What better way to end your first weekend of Punta Gorda Holiday Events than with a holiday concert. December 4th at 7:30 The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra is presenting “Tiz the Season” Holiday Magic Concert.
Enjoy an evening of music and entertainment at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center in Punta Gorda. Tickets are $45 for adults and $15 for children and students.

The Punta Gorda Kiwanis are once again sponsoring Punta Gorda’s Christmas Card Lane, but this year the jumbo holiday greeting cards will be on display in Laishley Park.
We have picked Christmas Card Lane for the 5th day of Punta Gorda Holiday Events. However the cards will be on display from December 3rd through January 7th, so you have plenty of time to enjoy them.
